Gemma’s Bears was inspired by the life of Gemma Therese Holihen, who lived for only 52 minutes because of complications from Trisomy 13. Gemma’s Bears are a small gift of love for families whose babies are newly diagnosed with Trisomy 13 or Trisomy 18. We offer these bears free of charge to families who are faced with these diagnoses either prenatally or after birth. Gemma's Bears was founded upon the belief that every life is a life to be celebrated and embraced from conception to natural death. It is our hope that these gifts may be a reminder to families who have just received this difficult diagnosis that their child is a precious child of God. If you would like to order one of Gemma's Bears for a precious baby who has been diagnosed with Trisomy 13 or Trisomy 18, please submit your request in the form below. Please note that bears are shipped based upon availability, and there is a chance that the bear received might differ from the ones pictured above. We rely solely upon generous donations to sustain the Gemma's Bears Program.
Gemma's Bears are free of charge to parents of a child diagnosed with Trisomy 13 or 18. If you would like to SPONSOR A BEAR for a future family, the cost is only $25.00.
